The Tekaloid range of paints is ideal for classic cars & bikes , coach work and agricultural machinery. We are able to supply in any colour just advise us of any industry standard reference such as RAL, BS, NCS and Pantone. Paint Properties: Excellent flow, high gloss, outstanding colour stability.

Can you spray Tekaloid paint?

You can spray tekaloid and the finish is great, but it really does take ages to dry and needs keeping dust/fly/bird poo free for at least a day.

What is coach enamel paint?

Paintman Coach Enamel is an ultra high quality, premium paint product made for brushing, rollering or spraying. Giving superb high build coverage and the ultimate finish. Paint is mixed to order and can be supplied in different sheen on request including Satin and Matt finishes.

How many coats of coach paint do I need?

How much paint do I need? When brushing or rollering, Coach Enamel covers around 7sqm per litre (one coat). We recommend doing 2 coats. When spraying, Coach Enamel covers around 10sqm per litre (one coat).

Can you paint the outside of a caravan?

Yes, of course, you can paint the outside of a caravan. It is common that after a certain period of time, the external paint of a caravan, which is usually white, tends to gain a yellow shade mostly due to exposure to sunlight.

Is Coach paint oil based?

HMG Coach Enamel is a traditional, ultra high quality, high build, long oil synthetic enamel for brush application. It gives an extra long wet edge time allowing it to be brushed without brush drag.

How long does Tekaloid take to dry?

Drying time Temperature + 10°C + 20°C + 30°C at 65% rel. humidity touch dry 8 hrs. 6 hrs.

How do I use enamel coach?

The objective of good quality coach painting is to apply an even coverage of paint. Apply with relatively fast brush strokes horizontally first, covering a small area of about 30” square each time. Once the brush is empty immediately refill it and then repeat the process, brushing into the area you’ve just covered.

Polishing Coach Enamel is a dark area which many people hold different opinions on. When polishing new Coach Enamel we recommend using the Double Speed Wax. Once the Coach Enamel has matured we then recommend using the Finis Wax, which is a high-grade carnauba wax to ensure a deep, rich gloss finish.
