Yes, the 2021 State Fair of Virginia will be held Friday, Sept. 24 through Sunday, Oct. 3, at The Meadow Event Park in Caroline County. The 2022 fair will be September 23 through October 2; The 2023 fair will be September 22 through October 1.

Is the Virginia State Fair Open?
HOURS OF OPERATION. 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Amusement rides open at 11 a.m. daily and the Midway will continue to operate for a minimum of one hour after the Ticket Plaza closes or longer on weekends at the discretion of fair management. No gate tickets sold at the Ticket Plaza after 8 pm.
Is the Virginia Beach Carnival open?
The carnival will operate 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the weekends. Deggeller Attractions can change the hours based on weather and attendance. Rides, games and food stands will be set up in Mt. Trashmore’s parking lot off Edwin Drive.

After a 2020 cancellation due to coronavirus, the annual month-long carnival returns to the foot of Virginia Beach’s Mount Trashmore.
How much is it to get in the carnival?
Carnival parking and admission are free. Single-day unlimited ride wristbands (for riders 36 inches and taller) are $25 Monday – Thursday and $30 Friday – Sunday. Ride tickets are $1.50 each, $25 for 20 tickets, or $50 for 50 tickets plus 1 free ride. (Rides take 2 or more tickets each.)
