Can you install a different OS on Surface RT?

Windows 10, at least in tablet form, just isn’t cut out to run on an ARM device like the Surface RT. But with the security hole, the device can boot other versions of Windows, including Windows Phone or Windows 10 Mobile, and even non-Windows operating systems like Android.
How do I change the OS on my Surface RT?
Before you begin
- Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and select Settings.
- Select Change PC settings > Update and recovery.
- Select View your update history. The update will be listed as Update for Windows (KB3033055). If you see this update in the history list, you already have Windows 8.1 RT Update 3.
Can you run Linux on Surface RT?
The hardware and software of Surface RT is locked, so you are unable to run Linux, Ubuntu or Android OS on the tablet unless cracking it.
